Turbobahn is an umbrella organization of several projects, associations and collectives active around Eisenbahnstrasse in the east of Leipzig and internationally. Now it’s Best Day e.V., Anderer Kunstverein e.V. und Rousl e.V.. Best Day e.V. is involved in organizing a small underground space for parties, readings, concerts and social projects. Anderer Kunstverein e.V. does sociocultural projects, theater, radio and photography. Rousl e.V. is born out of the Syrian resistance and exiled all over Europe. It’s doing films, art, music, journalism and events. Turbobahn is also interested in science and fashion.

The first big project of all these organizations is Radio Djinni. It’s soon going to be the first Arab speaking rap radio in Germany, which wants to go FM radio as well. We are a fast-growing network of friends following our interests. There usually is not always a clear common denominator to our cultural and artistic work.  The recurring themes are rap and radio. Radio Djinni will be an Arab speaking rap radio, but it will also be a research and intervention project focusing on narrative identity.
